In the incomparable setting of the central main hall of the University of Barcelona, the Extraordinary Doctoral Prizes were awarded (04/19/2018). These prizes are awarded the best doctoral thesis of each of the current doctoral programs at the University.
On this occasion, two researcherss from the CRIT research group (Creativity, Innovation, Urban Transformation) collected their prize from the director of the Doctoral School representing the vice-chancellor of the University of Barcelona.
Danae Esparza, who is also a researcher at our center (POLIS), defended her thesis in 2014, entitled “The design of the ground: the role of pavement in the creation of the image of the city.” under the supervision of Dr. Antoni Remesar. This thesis has recently been published as a book “Barcelona at ground level” by Ediciones y Publicaciones of the University of Barcelona. Today she teaches at ELISAVA school of Design.
Susana Camargo defended her thesis “The Relative Success of Individual Job-Seeking Practices: Young University Graduates in Spain, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom” (2016) being Dr. Soledad García Cabeza her advisor
