Public Space: challenges and opportunities. A three days international seminar. Barcelona, January 15th – 17th, 2018

image003Debates on public space are recurrent and it is good that this happens. Despite some mermaid songs against it, public space is fundamental in the processes of city making, but also in the democratic and participatory construction of citizenship.

This seminar is organized around three axes:

  1. The analysis of public space service value
  2. The analysis of the importance of ground design
  3. Visits to certain areas of the city to particularize the previous points Seminar on the move)

Topic: Public Space, public urban service system

Presentation of the PSSS project, proving the diversity of cultures and practices of Urban Design, the relevance of the basic principles of the project: interdisciplinarity, the epistemological framework of Public Space, the principle of organization.
